World Biased against Indians?

My inquisitive nature prompts me to write on this sensitive issue, why Indians were recently attacked in Aussies and just not there but most of the parts of the World. Are those a racial attack or something else? May be Asians are still considered to be the third world. But one thing was proved to this world recently that India stands at the top. The Global slump last year proved this, when most of the countries including America, Japan, and UK toppled, India stood as the second strongest economy after China. Americans, French and some other Manufacturers ran towards Indian Market which was still growing especially Military Aircraft manufacturers who wanted desperately to bag hundreds of Fighter Aircraft Order in their Kitty. We reached moon within just few years of the making of our Space organization (ISRO) and became 4th Nation to do that. The cost of the mission was whooping 4 times less in comparison to NASA and was 95% successful. No Nation in world is able to hold such a diverse form of religions together under one roof. We stand alone to fight against terror, which America realized after 9/11 and came to support us that to just in words. The form of rituals, heritage and culture of this country attracts millions of tourist from Europe and America. This country is unfortunately surrounded by countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh which have actually never learnt to live in peace, they breed and preach Terror. China on the other side is fighting for nothing, just out of ruling the Asia and on some border disputes; it continues to make cross roads for India. India faces death of thousands of Army personnel and innocent people just because there are some extremist groups promoted by our neighbours fighting for a cause which even their Religion do not permit. The world appreciates this Fight against Terror but then never comes out in total support to curb this. With this situation as a small country we still stand far better than many others which make me Proud that I was fortunate to be born in this country.

But I think these attacks are not because of the situation around us but because even after 60 years of the Independence we never raised our standards. We still are the same. The Politicians that this country got were all greedy for the power that was a reason of the partition. Most of the country’s roads, parks and colleges are named after those politicians rather being named on our Martyrs or the Freedom fighters who are responsible for its existence. Foreigners who come to this country looks at the pathetic living standard at the lower - middle class level, people are living in slumps, fighting each other at the middle of the road for nothing, Railway lines around slump areas are smelling like rotten pigs. Marathi, Guajarati, Bengali, Bihari comes before INDIA. 90% of the ministers are corrupt with Criminal cases on their heads, people still don’t know their power of vote and 40% of Indians don’t turn up on the voting booths. But they all want change. The basic way of driving on roads and general awareness is missing in this country but still we want a change. Everyone wants their situation to improve but without changing themselves. Politician blames opposition, Minister Blame his staff, staff blames people and people again blame the Government. But none is ready to accept his fault. Still 50% of the population elects a person not because of his work but because of his caste or religion he belongs to. There are unnecessary reservations given at the higher education and for Jobs when the primary education system is a big failure but of the vote bank politics injustice is done to many. Most of the deserving candidates are left Jobless or they have to go abroad to find a Job and all these things make him either bear all the pain and hatred at the foreign land or he is made to return helpless.

The story stands straight till we ourselves do not improve how we can expect others to improve and to change their thinking about this country. We have never raised our standards; the country still fights for the basic things till we don’t offer our own people a better place and opportunities we can not expect same status like other countries. It does not in any way means India has not improved, it has shown substantial and remarkable changes but still with this competitive world we need to run twice the speed. We need to earn respect by ourselves, rather than to expect it. The improvements should start from our home; we need to relearn our basics, our culture, our script and history so that we don’t repeat the mistake which has brought us great losses. I still remember some quotes that the greatest thinkers in this world have written for us:

India is the cradle of the human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history, the grandmother of legend and the great grand mother of tradition.     - Mark Twain.

We owe a lot to the Indians, who taught us how to count, without which no worthwhile scientific discovery could have been made.     - Albert Einstein.
